Ida Reds

A cross between a Jonathan and a Wegener, Ida Reds are medium to large tart apples that keep, their flavour when oven baked. Although quite acidic until Christmas they are a favourite for pies as they hold their shape perfectly. A, late fall apple, Ida Reds store well all winter and are enjoyed as a fresh eating apple by some.
